Houses

Originally introduced in 2013, the house system at Fourfields has gone through many changes over the years. After a decade of use, the decision was made to re-launch the house system in 2023. The houses will help provide the children of Fourfields with opportunities to form bonds of community across year groups as well as take part in activities outside of the regular curriculum.

There are four houses and children are assigned a house upon joining the school. Each house name is taken from a mythical creature (the theme selected by children after a close-run vote).

One of the first activities was to select the new motto for each house. Over the coming years, we will look to explore how the house system can become an even bigger part of school life.

House Pegasus – Fearless, proud and strong.

House Phoenix – We rise better, together.

House Hippogriff – Positivity. Perseverance. Pride.

House Wyvern – Striving to achieve our best.

Where possible we would request that your child has a PE shirt representing the colour of his/her house.
